Pushing In

Another work that really for me starts to push the limits of photographic form and line.

Not too long ago I purchased a Leica M9. A very expensive camera that really is a boutique possession than the utilitarian SLR workhorses I used in photojournalism. Creating such photographs with this camera was probably never envisioned and may not even be the ideal tool.

Yet when I attempt the same type of photographic with an SLR using various different lenses the results are always far from beautiful. Something in the M9 and lenses just create that ‘sharp blurry’ line I find far more esthetic. In a C-Type print this photographic truly does come alive and the idea of pushing in, into this alternate reality is becoming increasinly interesting to me.
